London's Evening Standard takes on the scourge that is diners who complain — and make up complaints — just to get freebies from a restaurant. The piece argues that "it seems more prevalent than ever," writing, "Perhaps it's partly the blogging culture, where anyone can, supposedly, turn restaurant critic. Some diners seem to think that because they can bash out a few cheerful paragraphs and post it on a blog with a handful of followers, they deserve not to pay." [LES]
