The owner of a Chick-fil-A franchise in Rancho Cucamonga, CA stunned folks gathered at a marriage equality rally on Monday when he addressed the crowd and gave away coupons for free food. Local Inland Valley paper The Daily Bulletin spoke with franchise owner Corey Braun about his decision to put aside the anti-gay agenda that blew up in Chick-fil-A's face last year. "I wanted to show that Chick-fil-A doesn't discriminate against anybody. We serve everyone. We're happy to serve the community and this was an opportunity to have this group come in and show them our hospitality regardless of their beliefs, sexual orientation, or whatever. Chick-fil-A has never been about hate."

A board member from the local LGBT rights group Equality Inland Empire who was at the rally described the experience as "surreal" and "touching." At this time, there are no reports as to whether Braun, who has been the owner and operator of the Rancho Cucamonga Chick-fil-A for five years, will face any sort of consequences for being a decent person.
