robert-lustig-colbert-600.jpgLast night on the Colbert Report, pediatric endocrinologist Robert Lustig appeared to discuss his book, Fat Chance: Beating the Odds Against Sugar, Processed Food, Obesity, and Disease. Lustig shares some horrific stats about the hazards of sugar consumption, such as that 33 percent of America has nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. As Stephen Colbert puts it, "That just means we're even more elite as people. We're turning ourselves into foie gras." [Colbert Nation]
