Not only do food industry jobs account for seven of the ten lowest paid jobs in the country, they've been ranked as some of the all-around worst jobs too. CareerCast has announced its 2013 list of best and worst jobs and, as in years past, food industry jobs make a strong showing at the bottom of the list.

CareerCast evaluates each job on five key elements: physical demands, work environment, income, stress, and hiring outlook. Coupled with data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and other government agencies, CareerCast uses this information to create the list of 200 jobs, ranking from best to worst. This year's best job is actuary and the worst job is newspaper reporter (sad). The only vaguely food-related job in the top 100 is dietician (16). So how do food industry jobs stack up?

Below are the food and restaurant industry jobs on the list:

150. Bartender
183. Butcher
185. Waiter/Waitress
187. Dishwasher
190. Farmer
195. Dairy Farmer

Most of the above food jobs have been ranked below janitor (153) and bus driver (157). Other jobs that CareerCast says are better than working in food: sewage plant operator (87), pest control worker (95), funeral director (116), and taxi driver (146).
